Use case
Track competitor organic share
Use SEO Performance Monitor’s competitors table to see who shares your Shopify keywords and where organic traffic is concentrating—up to 20 competitors on Pro.
Highlights
What you get out of this flow
Outcomes you can expect when you run this playbook inside EShopSet on Shopify.
- Map 5–20 competitors to the keywords you actually monetize
- See overlap density, not just one rival homepage
- Prioritize content where 2+ competitors outrank you
Why competitor share matters on Shopify
Most Shopify merchants watch 1–2 “big” rivals and miss the niche sites and marketplaces eating mid-funnel queries. The competitors table shows who repeatedly appears on your tracked set—so you can decide whether to compete on content depth, price/shipping messaging, or different keyword themes entirely.
How it works in EShopSet
Add competitors in Settings within your plan limit. After daily syncs, Overview surfaces which domains share your keywords and how traffic concentrates. Combine with weekly rankings review to avoid reacting to one-off SERP volatility.
Example: home goods niche
A home-goods store on Growth tracks 10 competitors. They discovered a content publisher (not a direct Shopify peer) ranked on 22 of 48 keywords. That reframed the brief: win featured-snippet-style guides for “best [material] for [room]” instead of only optimizing product PDPs. Within a month, 7 of those 22 terms moved into positions 4–10.
Playbook
- List competitors you lose Google Shopping and organic to (max for your plan).
- After sync, sort by shared-keyword count.
- Tag each as direct retail, marketplace, or content/publisher.
- For high-overlap publishers, brief informational pages; for retailers, strengthen PDP uniqueness and internal links.
- Revisit the table weekly—drop stale competitors, add emerging ones.
What to measure
- Keywords where ≥2 competitors outrank you
- New competitor domains entering the top 10 on money terms
- Share of traffic among your top organic pages vs competitor themes
