Use case
Review top pages and backlinks
After each SEO Performance Monitor sync, review top organic pages and backlink signals to prioritize Shopify content and outreach—10 to 50 top pages by plan.
Highlights
What you get out of this flow
Outcomes you can expect when you run this playbook inside EShopSet on Shopify.
- Focus on the 10–50 pages that carry most organic demand
- Pair on-page fixes with backlink opportunities
- Turn sync output into a ranked backlog, not a spreadsheet dump
Why top pages beat keyword lists alone
Keyword tables tell you what queries moved. Top pages tell you which URLs to edit. On Shopify, that usually means a handful of collections, blog guides, and hero PDPs—not 400 variant URLs. Backlink signals then show whether authority is supporting those same URLs or leaking to thin pages.
How it works in EShopSet
After sync, open top organic pages (limit by plan) and backlink-related signals in SEO Performance Monitor. Note URLs that appear in both “high traffic” and “ranking opportunity” sets. Put those first in your content calendar.
Example: outdoor gear catalog
An outdoor brand on Growth saw 20 top pages; 4 collections drove ~55% of organic clicks. Backlink signals clustered on an old blog post that no longer linked to those collections. They rebuilt the post with 8 contextual links and updated 2 collection intros. Over three weeks, those 4 collections gained 12 positions across 19 tracked keywords.
Playbook
- Export or note the current top pages list post-sync.
- Mark Shopify template type: collection, product, blog, other.
- For each top collection/product, list 3 supporting internal links to add.
- Check whether backlink equity lands on money URLs or orphans.
- Ship ≤5 URL-level tasks per week; re-check after 7 daily syncs.
What to measure
- % of organic clicks in top 10 pages
- Backlinks pointing to money URLs vs utility pages
- Keyword coverage per top URL (are heroes under-supported?)
