What you get out of this flow

Outcomes you can expect when you run this playbook inside EShopSet on Shopify.

  • Hourly / daily / weekly cadences on Growth and Pro
  • Starter supports manual + daily for smaller catalogs
  • Pair schedules with preview-on-manual for risky changes

Why schedules beat ad-hoc CSVs

Promotion calendars and 3PL inventory feeds change faster than Admin uploads. A daily or hourly Data Sync job reduces “site says in stock / sheet says 0” incidents that create support tickets and cancelled orders.

How it works in EShopSet

After a successful one-time import, set schedule in Data Sync Settings. Growth/Pro unlock hourly/daily/weekly. Use price/inventory-only policies when editorial fields should stay in Shopify. Review Logs each morning.

Example: flash-sale week

During a 5-day flash sale, a merchant ran hourly syncs on ~2,200 rows. Inventory accuracy issues reported to support dropped from ~15 tickets/day to 2–3, mostly edge-case variants excluded from the sheet.

Playbook

  1. Prove mapping with a one-time import.
  2. Choose cadence from change frequency (inventory-heavy → hourly/daily).
  3. Enable schedule; document owner for Log review.
  4. Pause schedule before massive structural sheet redesigns.
  5. Resume after a manual preview/apply succeeds.

What to measure

  • Sync success rate over 7 days
  • Support tickets tagged inventory/price mismatch
