Why citations ≠ brand vanity
A mention without a usable citation rarely converts. Citation rate tells you whether answer engines treat you as a source. Competing domains reveal whether publishers, retailers, or marketplaces own the narrative for your category prompts.
How it works in EShopSet
AI Presence Overview charts citation rate and mentions by model for your tracked keywords, with tables for competing domains. Use Logs after sync if a model run fails so gaps aren’t mistaken for “zero presence.”
Example: skincare citations
A skincare brand tracked 40 Growth-plan keywords. Brand prompts cited them on 3/4 models (~65% citation rate), but “best retinol for beginners” cited two publishers and one competitor on all four models. They published a beginner guide with clear ingredients table and clinical-sounding FAQs; within ~3 weeks citation rate on that cluster rose from 0% → ~40% on two models.
