Map Search Console keywords as opportunities
Opportunities turns search queries into keyword-target suggestions—map a query to a destination, then generate high-intent anchors from matching source content. Requires active Link Automation. Keyword targets are still scored with the same Confidence weights as other types; AI can suggest a destination or a safe anchor (a phrase already in the source). That Confidence is not the Overview linking Score.
Prerequisites
- Active Link Automation subscription
- Optional: Google Search Console Performance export (
Queries.csv)
Steps — manual keywords
- Open Opportunities.
- Add a keyword and optional destination URL (product, collection, page, or blog).
- Choose source types to search (products, collections, blog posts, pages).
- Generate suggestions; review them in Suggestions as keyword targets.
Steps — import GSC CSV
- In Google Search Console, export Performance → Queries as CSV.
- In Opportunities, choose Import CSV and upload the file (up to 500 rows parsed; the engine caps keywords per run).
- Map or confirm destinations (AI can suggest or validate a URL where enabled).
- Generate keyword-target suggestions and approve in Suggestions.
Tips
- Prioritize queries with impressions where you already have a strong destination page.
- Keep destinations commercial hubs when the query has buy intent—commercial-value weight helps Confidence.
- Without Link Automation, Opportunities stays locked—use free audit/suggestions for orphans and broken links first.
Troubleshooting
- Feature locked: subscribe to Link Automation on Billing.
- CSV rejected: use the Queries export columns GSC provides; trim to relevant queries before upload.
