Link Pilot|Overview|score
How the Overview linking score works
The header Score: N% is store-wide internal linking health from the last audit—not suggestion confidence. It starts at 100 and deducts for graph problems in body HTML (descriptions and article/page bodies). Theme menus do not count.
How it is calculated
With N indexed resources:
- 35% orphan rate — share of resources with zero inbound body links.
- 30% broken-link rate — broken edges ÷ total body links.
- 20% underlinked hubs — products/collections below the peer median inbound (at least 1 expected).
- 15% dead ends — articles/pages with body but zero outbound body links.
Empty catalogs return no score. The number is rounded 0–100.
What moves the Score
- Applying inbound links to orphans and hubs raises it.
- Fixing broken targets raises it.
- Adding outbound links from blogs/pages that were dead ends raises it.
- Dismissing suggestions does not change Score until the graph changes.
Tips
- Treat Score as a health KPI; treat Confidence as which suggestion to trust.
- Re-audit after a batch apply to see the new Score.
