Limits and Logs

v1 is intentionally narrow so syncs stay safe. Logs tell you when a row was skipped versus when a run failed.

Prerequisites

  • Data Sync enabled

Honest v1 limits

  • Import only — no Shopify → Sheet export.
  • Single-variant products — multi-variant rows are skipped, not merged.
  • No metafields in the flat column model.
  • One image per product (URL changes replace wholesale).
  • One inventory location per installation.
  • Row capacity and schedule options follow your plan (e.g. 1,000 vs 5,000 rows; daily vs hourly). See pricing.

Steps

  1. After Preview/Apply or a scheduled sync, open Logs.
  2. Confirm the run completed; note skip reasons (multi-variant, validation) vs hard errors.
  3. Fix the sheet or mapping; Preview again before Apply when the change is structural.

Tips

  • Products created only in Shopify Admin are not “owned” by Data Sync’s ledger until a sync matches them—removal policies ignore unowned products.
  • Target <1% error/skip rate on a clean sheet after mapping stabilizes.

Troubleshooting

  • Many skips: check for multi-variant rows or unmapped required fields.
  • Quota / auth errors: reconnect Google and retry; if persistent, contact support with the Log job/run id.
