Connect Google and pick a sheet

Data Sync reads product rows from a merchant-owned Google Sheet. Connection and sheet selection come before mapping.

Prerequisites

• Shopify store connected
• Data Sync enabled from the apps catalog
• A Google account with access to the spreadsheet

Steps

1. Open Data Sync → Settings.
2. Connect Google when prompted (account-level connection).
3. Pick the spreadsheet and worksheet that contain the catalog rows you want to sync.
4. Save. Proceed to column mapping before the first Preview.

Tips

• Use a dedicated worksheet for sync—filters or “in-stock only” views that hide rows can look like mass removals later.
• Keep a backup tab or version history before large structural edits.

Troubleshooting

• Cannot see the file: confirm sharing permissions for the connected Google account.
• Wrong worksheet synced: re-select the sheet name carefully; Preview before Apply.
